With the first castle I took, I only had the option to build ladders which only takes a few hours, so I was able to take the castle less than a day after the siege started. So I’ll get half a dozen lords or so, and besiege a castle. That’s fine, I figure I don’t need all of them to take a castle.
Thing is I’m having trouble leading a successful siege and am hoping to get pointers.Īs it is, I can convince about half of the vassals to follow me around on the map while the other half give me the “if anything you should follow me” line. I’m hoping to continue taking castles, and hopefully the King will decide to not award it to me, giving me pretext to rebel. The second castle is one I took myself (with the help of a few other vassals who I convinced to follow me) and King Yaroglek awarded it to me. Things are going rather well, I’m a vassal of the Vaegirs, own one town, two castles, and a bunch of villages. I’m currently playing with the Diplomacy mod.
